2025/2026 Even Semester End-Year Internal Quality Audit – Masters of Psychology Program

Surakarta, 5 August 2026 – The Master’s Programme in Psychology at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) has once again demonstrated its commitment to continuously improving higher education standards. The Internal Quality Audit (AMI) for the mid-term evaluation of the 2025/2026 Even Semester was successfully held in Meeting Room, 1st Floor, UMS Faculty of Psychology, on Wednesday (5/8).
This crucial agenda was led directly by two internal auditors, namely Ir. Herry Purnama, M.T., Ph.D. and Maryam, S.Kom., M.Eng. The discussion forum was attended by the management team of the UMS Master’s Programme in Psychology, faculty leadership—including the Deputy Dean II—as well as representatives from the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM/GPM).
This round of the Internal Quality Audit brought encouraging news regarding the development of activities and curriculum quality within the study programme. According to the auditors’ evaluation results, performance in the Research Outcomes Standard area achieved a “very good” rating, with supporting evidence scoring above 4.

Focus on Continuous Improvement

Despite recording a number of positive achievements, the audit continues to serve as a means of ongoing improvement. The audit team issued several evaluation notes, comprising one (1) Major finding, one (1) Observation finding, and one (1) Minor Non-conformity, which the programme management now needs to address promptly.
As a strategic step in response to these notes, the UMS Master’s Programme in Psychology is committed to carrying out comprehensive improvements without delay. The focus of these improvements includes strengthening the curriculum measurement system within the Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) instrument, as well as integrating the graduate competency certifications that students are required to obtain during their studies, in line with BAN-PT accreditation form standards.
This audit is intended to serve not merely as a matter of administrative formality, but as a driving force for continuous improvement in areas that still require refinement, in order to deliver excellent educational services.
