Surakarta, 9th March 2026 – The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) held a Management Review Meeting (RTM) to evaluate academic performance and institutional governance. The event gathered key faculty leaders, including the Quality Assurance Task Force (GPM), heads and secretaries of the undergraduate, master’s, professional, and doctoral programs, the Quality Assurance Unit, laboratory and administrative heads, and representatives from the UMS Postgraduate Directorate. The review aimed to assess recent milestones, identify operational gaps, and formulate strategic initiatives to enhance quality standards across the faculty.
The meeting commenced with opening remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, setting the stage for the proceedings. Following this, the Quality Assurance Task Force presented crucial data to drive the discussion, including findings from the Internal Quality Audit (AMI), learning monitoring and evaluation (EVALUMS), and the Lecturer Evaluation by Students (EDOM).
In its performance report, the faculty highlighted significant positive outcomes across several vital indicators. Key achievements included the drafting of a new Strategic Plan (Renstra), the successful implementation of the Educational Organization Management System (SMOP), and the maintenance of an updated Risk Register. Furthermore, the faculty demonstrated strong Key Performance Indicator (KPI) realization, alongside the establishment of comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and service documentation.
Despite these successes, the review also pinpointed specific areas requiring refinement. Actionable priorities include ensuring that practicum and field-work schedules are prominently published on official program websites, updating all practicum modules to align with the latest curriculum, and better socializing the complaint and feedback system for laboratory facilities. Additionally, the committee emphasized the need to establish a stronger mechanism to ensure all psychological laboratory tools and materials remain functional and of high quality for student learning.
Moving forward, the UMS Faculty of Psychology remains fully committed to fortifying its internal quality assurance systems. Through this Management Review Meeting, the faculty reaffirmed its dedication to enhancing the educational experience, expanding the integration of digital technology, and ensuring academic achievements consistently meet both national and international standards.
