Elevating Expertise: UMS Faculty of Psychology Held Lecturer Profile Update Workshop

Surakarta, March 9, 2026 – The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) hosted a Lecturer Profile Update Workshop on Monday, March 9, 2026. The event took place in the Hybrid Room on the 2nd floor of the UMS Faculty of Psychology.

The workshop featured an internal expert, Fajar Suryawan, S.T., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., who is the principal designer of the UMS Lecturer Profile Website. He was accompanied by a team of facilitators from the Directorate of Information Systems and Technology (DSTI) and the UMS Public Relations Office.

All lecturers within the Faculty of Psychology were invited to participate, with the primary goal of completing and updating their previously unfinished academic profiles. This workshop was organized to address several critical strategic needs, including accreditation requirements, lecturer recognition, expertise mapping, and the reinforcement of impactful research collaborations.

Fajar Suryawan highly commended the initiative. He noted that during his tenure as the Coordinator of the UMS Lecturer and Study Program Profile Website, this marked the very first time a faculty had proactively organized a massive, collective effort to update lecturer profiles together.

Through this workshop, UMS Psychology lecturers are expected to broaden the reach of their academic profiles, ensuring their information is well-organized and easily accessible to colleagues or external parties searching for specific expertise. Furthermore, this initiative aims to build and solidify UMS’s credibility on both national and international stages to foster highly impactful research collaborations.
