The Al-Qolam Islamic Psychology Study Group UMS Faculty of Psychology completed one work program earlier this month. The work program referred to is the Islamic Psychology Study (KAPSI) which was held through WhatsApp Group and invited Mrs. Setya Asyanti, S.Psi., M.PSi., Psychologists as speakers. This study took place on May 9, 2020 and discussed how to deal with anxiety and methods of intervention carried out due to the Covid-19 pandemic and participated by 128 participants for free. In an interview via short message, one participant said that it would be better if the material had been sent before the discussion session so that participants had time to understand it.
Asiyah Khoirun Nisa as the committee admitted that there were difficulties in coordination during the KAPSI process, it was because there were different activities between the committees and holding meetings through WhatsApp Group, causing miscommunication. However, it is not a barrier behind the success of this organization. Asiyah hopes that the next KAPSI has a more exciting theme, and more and more participants will be active and can make this as an evaluation for further activities.
