Year-End Internal Quality Audit for the Even Semester 2025/2026 – UMS Undergraduate Psychology Study Programme
Surakarta, 12 August 2026 – The Undergraduate (S1) Psychology Study Programme at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) has once again reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of higher education, through its Year-End Internal Quality Audit (AMI) for the Even Semester of 2025/2026. This exercise forms part of the programme’s ongoing strategy to evaluate and refine both its academic and non-academic standards on a continuous basis. The audit was led by Ir. Sri Sunarjono, M.T., Ph.D., and Farid Rahman, SSt.FT., M.Or., and was also attended by the Deputy Dean III and the Psychology Quality Assurance Unit (UJM).
The audit process involved a comprehensive review of a range of performance indicators for the programme, covering the implementation of the “tridharma” (the three pillars of Indonesian higher education), budgetary effectiveness, and the governance of student affairs and alumni relations.
The audit results showed the UMS Undergraduate Psychology Programme achieving a number of highly satisfactory outcomes, among them the strong qualifications and performance of the programme’s lecturing staff, together with the achievements of students who have gone on to excel at both national and international level.
Alongside recognising these strong results, the audit team also raised several important points as areas for improvement for the programme’s management going forward. The evaluation recorded one (1) Major Non-Conformity, three (3) Minor Non-Conformities, and a number of further observations.
The main points earmarked for improvement include: bringing Lecturer Workload (EWMP) down from its currently high level (averaging 20.8 credit hours against a maximum standard of 16); improving Budget Effectiveness (currently at 25.9%) through more efficient scheduling of activities; increasing student participation in off-campus learning programmes; strengthening the tracer study system and the graduate-user database; and ensuring that measurement of the Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) is actually carried out in practice.
Through this Internal Quality Audit, the UMS Undergraduate Psychology Study Programme remains committed to pursuing continuous improvement, streamlining workload and budget efficiency, and sustaining a high standard of education, all in the pursuit of producing psychology graduates who are competent, principled, and able to compete on the global stage.
