BEM Faculty of Psychology Held Online Ramadan Study

The UMS Faculty of Psychology Student Executive Board together with the scientific and Islamic fields as well as the organization’s development and creation field hold a regular fasting program in the form of Ramadan Studies. This year’s event is the second time, after last year’s official Ramadan Study agenda was held. In contrast to last year’s Ramadan Study, this study was conducted online through live instagram of BEM Psychology UMS. The purpose of the Ramadhan Study is to establish ukhuwah Islamiyah between student organizations (Ormawa), fostering faith and devotion through study, and adding Islamic insight. By presenting themes related to covid-19 BEM hopes this activity can fill spare time and be useful in dealing with Ramadan in the middle of a pandemic.

This activity was carried out smoothly by inviting various parties in the Faculty of Psychology as speakers. One of the speakers at the Ramadhan Study was Malihatul Umami, a Bachelor of Psychology Faculty student representative from Ormawa KSPI Al Qolam said “I was very excited when I got the information given the mandate to fill online studies. From here I learned a lot and Alhamdulillah yesterday’s study program went smoothly despite several obstacles. Yesterday’s study was really exciting and fun. I think such studies need to be routinized to spread positive vibes to those around us. ” He also stated that the next agenda of the event could be packaged more interestingly with the theme of the event which was light but was discussed in depth. This Ramadhan Study has been carried out twice out of 3 planned agendas. The two previous agendas were entitled “The Special Ramadhan Amid the Pandemic Covid-19” explained by Malihatul Umami, a Bachelor of Psychology Faculty student representative from Ormawa KSPI Al Qolam. While the second week took the theme “Organizing the Heart in the Middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic” by Machbub Aozai, S.Psi, Master of Professional Psychology, UMS. BEM hopes that in the future more and more students will take part in this Ramadhan Study. (fnl)
