Solo, December 14, 2025 – The UMS Professional Psychology Education Program held a solemn Psychologist Professional Oath-Taking Ceremony for its inaugural cohort (Batch I) at the Aston Solo Hotel ballroom on Saturday (Dec 13, 2025). A total of 37 students successfully completed their studies and officially earned the title of professional general psychologist.
The event was attended by families, lecturers, substantive field supervisors, and educational staff. Also in attendance were the Vice Chair III of the HIMPSI (Indonesian Psychological Association) Central Board, Dra. Reni Kusumowardhani, M.Psi., Psychologist, alongside the Vice Rector V of UMS, Prof. Ir. Supriyono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
The Vice Chair III of HIMPSI expressed her immense pride. “These graduates are proof of extraordinary dedication and competence. They are ready to contribute to society,” she stated.
These young psychologists are expected to strengthen psychological services amidst the public’s growing demand for mental health care. UMS remains committed to producing high-quality professionals through a competency-based curriculum and rigorous field practice.
The Dean of the UMS Faculty of Psychology added, “This Professional Oath-Taking serves as a vital momentum to expand our network of alumni who have excelled in various sectors.”
The students, having officially earned their titles as General Psychologists, endlessly expressed their
profound gratitude. “Thank you for the extraordinary guidance. We are ready to face the challenges of the profession,” remarked one of the graduates.
This milestone serves as an inspiration for other UMS students to continue achieving excellence.
