Psychological Consultation and Examination Bureau, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta successfully held a webinar via Google Meet on Saturday, July 4, 2020, which began at 09.00 WIB until 10.30 WIB. With the title “What Should I Be After Bachelor?” able to attract enthusiastic approximately 138 participants in participating in this webinar activity. The purpose of this webinar is to answer the confusion that is often felt by scholars or final semester students in setting their goals after graduation. The event began with a presentation on the introduction of the UMS Psychological Examination and Consultation Bureau service by Diar Kawuryan Megananda as the moderator of the webinar event and continued with the presentation by the speakers. Mrs. Etik Rahmawati, S.Psi., Psychologist (Chairperson of BKPP UMS) as the speaker explained about how to set goals after becoming a graduate by the following methods:

  1. Put yourself in the desired situation
  2. Be consistent and don’t give up easily
  3. Actively looking for information
  4. Prepare yourself with the required skills.

In addition, he said that related mistakes that should be left behind when entering the workforce such as only focusing on money, less confident, underestimating foreign languages, the assumption of working / studying / S2 / entrepreneurship is better, learning to do psychological testing, stop learning and reading.

In his presentation, the speaker said “When we enter the world of work, do not become a frog in the shell, which closes itself from the outside world and does not want to learn from existing experience. Whatever goals we set must be accompanied by a strong struggle with effort, where the fighting power will not be exhausted before we leave life. ” (fnl)
